Speaker, Psalmist, Director, Playwright, Event Planner, Wife, Mother and First Lady are just some of the hats of Lady Wendy Nelson. She does it all with faith, grace and inspiration. Lady Wendy is a worshipper who believes, teaches and encourages women of all ages that, “SHEroes” are women who’ve searched through the treasure box of acceptance and validation only to discover that they are the JEWELS who’ve become diamonds in the rough!

While under the Leadership of her spiritual parents, Bishop James and Lady Bessie Nelson, Lady Wendy was ordained Preacher and Worship leader. She has traveled ministering the word as well as singing across the United States and internationally. Although she is a woman of faith, some of her other spiritual gifts are healing and deliverance.

While under the mentorship and pastorate of Pastor Sheryl Brady, God used Pastor Brady to awaken the gift of performing arts within Lady Wendy. God began giving her vision to illustrate HIS message through theatrical dramatization and has anointed her to write such plays as “His Majesty”, “Love On Another Level”, “A Woman’s Worth”, and “You Missed It”.

Lady Nelson continues to write as the Lord leads and is currently writing her first faith-based book to encourage God’s people to hold on to their faith no matter the obstacles. She is a cancer survivor and gives God the praise and honor for saving her life!

In 1994, Lady Wendy married her best friend, Bishop James D. Nelson, Jr. and together are the proud parents of James III (JR), Jade and Imani .

Together, The Nelsons have committed their lives to minister God’s Word to a hurting generation and to build God’s people by equipping, educating, and empowering them to fulfill their God-given destiny through Love. She serves as Director of Fine Arts Ministry and is Founder and Overseer of L.I.F.T. (Ladies In Fellowship Together) Women’s Ministry, a ministry that aspires to create an atmosphere and environment where women can be uplifted to

spiritual maturity through discipleship, faith, love and fellowship and also, to develop leadership skills. Lady Nelson is honored to serve as First Lady of DESTINY CHRISTIAN CHURCH, the place where DESTINY knows no limits!
